The Blue Ridge Pregnancy Center operates with a very minimal staff, and could not operate at all without the gracious help of our many wonderful volunteers, who number nearly 120. Opportunities for volunteering at the Center include the following.

Prayer Ministry
Our invaluable team of prayer ministers serves our clients, our staff, and the Center in faithful, effective prayer.

Client Advocate
Our client advocates are the frontline of services to our clients, intervening in the first hours of their crisis (requires completion of a 12-hour, in-house training course in crisis intervention and at least 4 hours of observation).

Help-line
Our help-line extends our availability to our clients to 14 hours a day, 6 days a week (Center training required).

Bible Study Leaders
Our Bible study leaders provide the indispensable spiritual side of our follow-thorough with our clients.

Maternity and Baby Clothing & Supplies
The sorting, washing, mending, and organizing of our baby and maternity clothing, toiletries, toys, and so forth, is a constant need and a powerful way of ministering to our clients. Our Current Needs

Sewing, Quilting, Knitting, & Crocheting
Talented supporters provide the mother-to-be with a handmade baby quilt, and knitted or crocheted baby blanket. This extends the love we offer to her and her baby.

Office & Clerical Help
Our many records and many mailing require many gracious and faithful hands.

Abstinence Program Assistant
Volunteers assist as part of the team that presents our F.A.C.T.S. program to local schools, churches and other civic groups.

Laundry
Our gently-used donated baby and maternity clothing needs to be laundered before offering it to our clients.

Advancement and Marketing
Our team of volunteers assists in the planning and promotion of fundraising events and markets the Center to the community.

Gardening, Cleaning , Hospitality, Special Events, Etc.
The simple gift of helping is needed in many small ways that add up to our clients being able to sense our care for their needs and the attentive love of Jesus Christ.

Abortion:
Before you consider an abortion, you need to know how far along you are, whether you have a viable pregnancy, what types of abortion are offered, and what the risks are.

Adoption:
Perhaps you feel that you could never carry a baby for 9 months only to place it for adoption. But if you feel that abortion is truly your only option than you can learn how adoption is a gift to your child. It is the gift of life. Get information on this choice for life – for you and your baby.

Parenting:
You can get involved in our Parenting and Life Skills Program where you can take prenatal and parenting classes, learn about fetal development and childbirth, as well as receive practical assistance for your child until the age of 2.
